Can you spot the star? I am presenting an unbelievably creative editorial, combining art, fashion and the art of film: George Clooney by Emma Summerton: a simply stunning, arty editorial for W Magazine, December 2013 issue.
George is subjected to the unflinching gaze of five unique female artists, wearing a Giorgio Armani suit, shirt, and shoes, customised by the talented Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, of which I am a great fan: Yayoi Kusama has developed her practice in a dizzying sequence of artistic endeavours, exploring painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, performance, film, printmaking, installation and environmental art, as well as literature, fashion and product design for almost seventy years.
Although her work shares affiliations with Surrealism, Minimalism, Pop art, the Zero and Nul movements, Eccentric Abstraction and Feminist art, Kusama’s practice resists any singular classification, as described by Victoria Miro. Please follow my Instagram where I present more of Yayoi’s unique work: Andy Meets Warhol.
